VICTORIA CULBEAUX | LMT
Victoria Culbeaux of Healing Hands Body Work is a 1998 graduate from the Chicago College of Healing Arts.

Victoria’s trajectory into bodywork started after being the “patient/ model/ subject” to the bodywork curriculum offered at the school at that time. Where her passion and curiosity led her to take all the classes available extending her knowledge beyond the basic massage curriculum offered and delving into Structural Integration, Movement Re-education, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Lymphatic Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, and later Ashiatsu. Victoria is a Certified Professional Member of the American Massage Therapy Association.

“If you touch one thing with deep awareness, you touch everything.”

– Thich Nhat Hanh
Prior to the global pandemic of 2020/2021, Victoria was an international student at the Vancouver B.C., Canada campus of Collège d'études ostéopathiques, where she completed three of the five years of study and significantly advanced her knowledge. She frequently incorporates some of the Osteopathic Principles and methodology acquired there; however, the institution is now permanently closed.
The foundational knowledge derived from her studies in TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) and acupuncture, alongside the application of Western herbs through the lens of TCM principles, nutrition, herbal knowledge and ancestral lineage, constitutes a significant part of the background and repertoire that inform her treatment approach.
From the initial session, clients will observe her multidimensional approach, beginning with a comprehensive intake process designed to thoroughly understand the client's physical complaints ("issues in your tissues"). This is followed by the development of a tailored treatment plan, which is crafted based on the client's levels of activity, fitness objectives, injuries, surgeries, and habitual patterns. A session at Healing Hands Bodywork is typically dynamic, with a primary focus on engaging the client in a more functional approach to bodywork, contrasting with a traditional, relaxing Swedish massage.

"Form and function are a unity, two sides of one coin. In order to enhance function, appropriate form must exist or be created."
– Dr. Ida P. Rolf
Since leaving a successful sports therapy practice in downtown Chicago in 2006, where her clientele was largely comprised of local sports celebrities including professional basketball, baseball, and football players, Victoria has sculpted her Boulder & Vail business to embrace the treatment of professional US Ski Team athletes, professional triathletes, runners, cyclists, rock climbers, yogis, personal trainers, and other outdoor enthusiasts. She believes that not only athletes, but any individual can reap the benefits of bodywork. The door is open to all, the weekend warriors, desk professionals, anyone recovering from orthopedic surgeries in need of personalized massage therapy. Victoria herself has been a triathlete, skier, and yogi during her personal time.

She deeply understands the dedication people put into developing their bodies for their sport of choice. She is always delighted to engage further in studies that enhance her skills. In Victoria’s words, “I am always touched with reverence for the trust that people place on me by allowing me to work on them in such a profound way to achieve a sense of harmonious well-being.”
